Big Bertha's Bar and Grill

Big Bertha's Bar and Grill

Big Bertha's Bar and Grill is a friendly neighborhood local spot located within the sub-division of Walden in Montgomery, Texas. Everyone has their favorite "hole in the wall" spot and this one happens to be mine and I promise it's not because I live less than a half-mile away.
The atmosphere in this 1000 square foot establishment is what you would expect in a bar that's also a restaurant. When you walk in it's dark and muggy with regulars propped up at the bar enjoying their favorite cold beverage.

On the walls are a few flat-screen televisions with a different sport on each one. The decor kind of surprises you because it has an eastern European feel, but for a reason; the long-time owner is originally from Poland and just recently was awarded her U.S Citizenship.

The spirits may be good here and the beer ice cold, but I go there for a few items on the menu that are well known all over Montgomery. This being a bar of course you're gonna see the regular bar food items like chicken wings, fried mushrooms, jalapeno poppers, and nachos just to name a few. Two menu items that are the most popular are, the Hangover Burger and the 12-ounce rib-eye steak.

I know you're already saying, "not another burger" but please hear me out. This burger is made with a 100% fresh ground steak and chuck mixture. It has just enough fat content to where you can order it well done and it's still nice and juicy like a good burger should be. It seasoned with the house special seasoning that's actually under lock and key. You can get it all the way with mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onions, and jalapeno's with your choice of several different kinds of cheese, but I'm a pepper jack kinda guy myself. It's all presented to you on a fresh baked kaiser roll. I almost forgot it comes topped with a hot fried egg cooked to your preference. This burger will tantalize your taste buds and melt in your mouth.

Now on to the steak, a forty-five day aged 12 - ounce juicy 100% prime grass-fed ribeye. When I say this steak is the best steak I've ever had I mean it, and I've eaten steak all over the world. The meat comes from a local farmer in Montgomery and he treats his cows better than his kids. It's seasoned perfectly with only fresh ground pink Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper.  It's so tender you can literally cut it with your fork like butter. If you order this medium-rare you can't go wrong. Yes, I just told you the best steak in the Houston area comes from a small bar and grill in Montgomery, Texas. If you don't believe me please go check it out for yourself and if you don't agree with me I'll gladly pay for it. Hope to see you there friends!!!
